WELDING SCHOOL

WHERE TO FIND US:
The welding school is located on the premises of EGE, spol. s r.o. at: Novohradská 34, 370 01 České Budějovice, and is easily accessible from the city centre (bus line11).

WHAT WE OFFER:
The welding school is mainly focused on training workers in welding courses for the working as a “welder”. This is mainly training in basic welding courses according to the standard ČSN 050705, which is the minimum qualification for welders given by the legislation of the Czech Republic, or in higher welding courses according to ČSN EN ISO standards (for example, ČSN EN ISO 9606-1), which is a requirement for the qualification of welders within the EU, or a requirement of the customer, customer certification standards or their own product standard.
Other activities of the welding school are mainly focused on consultancy activities for external companies in terms of consultation of appropriate qualifications of welding personnel, training in welding related areas (e.g. visual inspection, weld marking) and minor welding work for non-standard materials (e.g. cast iron, aluminium, castings) etc.

OUR EQUIPMENT:
Individual welding courses consist of both theoretical and practical training. The theoretical part takes place in our own air-conditioned classroom for 20 people. The classroom is equipped with a PC wall projector and DVD player, a blackboard, study materials, textbooks, video programs and wall brochures. The practical part takes place in a separate workshop with forced filtration in separate work boxes for up to 25 people. The workshop is equipped with welding sources and accessories for the required welding methods from renowned world companies. These are, for example, welding sources of FRONIUS, ESAB, REHM, and GCE Autogen, etc. The workshop for practical training is also equipped with a machine saw, angle grinder, hand lever shears, machine flame workstation for cutting material and other necessary welding tools (steel brush, welding hammer, etc.), which are provided to each welder as part of their practical training.

Welded material is provided in the necessary quantities from our own production facilities (e.g. low-alloy steel, aluminium material), where it is also possible to use machinery (e.g. machine press, plate shears, lathe, etc.), as well as materials purchased from external companies (high-alloy steel).

Each welder is provided with the necessary basic protective equipment as part of the welding course. This includes a welding helmet, apron and gloves, which are prescribed by the safety standard ČSN 050601. Of course, the equipment of the welding school building includes its own changing room and sanitary facilities (toilets, showers) intended exclusively for them.

FINAL EXAMINATION:
Based on legislative requirements, the theoretical written and practical final examination is delivered through an independent accredited governing organisation that is a member of the ANB CWS, whose staff acts as independent examiners. The lecturers of the welding school of EGE, spol. s r.o. act as the organisational supervisors and the observers during the final examinations. In case of successful completion of the final examination, the welders are issued a diploma or certificate for the welding course.
